so here is the finally promised Valentine’s Day treat “how-to”!!!
i had SOOO much fun making these with my siblings and brought them to school in my lunch all these week, they’re super delish and super cute, so practically it can’t get any better! Whether you’re sending them off to friends or stashing them for yourself (I don’t blame you) Hope you enjoy 🙂
Chocolate Dipped Pretzels
So to make these yummy chocolate pretzels you’re gonna need:
Pretzel Rods
Melting Chocolate (whatever flavor you prefer)
sprinkles/candy of your choice
First step was to melt the chocolate. I read a bunch of fancy ways to do this online but ended up just pouring the chocolate melting wafers into a pot on the stove and while stirring them around they melted pretty quickly, just make sure to keep scraping the bottom so none sticks!!
Next take your pretzel rods and dip them in the chocolate. my siblings and i found it to be a lot easier just to have one person hold the pretzel and the other take a spoon and pour some chocolate on to make the process faster.
Then take your sprinkles and pour them on. THIS IS A LOT EASIER IF YOU PUT A BOWL UNDERNEATH SO YOU CAN REUSE FALLEN SPRINKLES. coat with sprinkles until you’re satisfied (which for me, is a lot of sprinkles). after it is coated in deliciousness set it on a cookie sheet with some parchment paper for it to dry
Keep doing this until all your pretzels are pretty!
PRETZEL BITES
these treats are super quick and easy and are perfect for grabbing and snacking way too many
for these treats you’re gonna need:
normal pretzels
hershey’s kisses (i grabbed the “hugs” for the white and milk chocolate look)
m&ms
This one is super basic. Just lay your pretzels on a cookie sheet with parchment paper and place a kiss on each one. then stick it in the oven until they start to melt. NOT UNTIL THEY ARE COMPLETELY MELTED. they will continue to melt a little once you take them out so sooner is better than later.
then while the kiss is melted stick on an M&M and wait until they’re dry. sticking it in the freezer for a bit helps the process speed up a bit!
Hope you enjoyed this quick recipes and make and share them with your valentines this year! have a happy rest of your week friends!
xoxo, Allison
