alright if you don’t have a least favorite day of the week you’re lying to yourself. you know, the day where your coffee always seems to be bitter, your hair won’t cooperate for anything and you walk into almost every class with the “we had homework..?” expression being repeated quite too often. well #1 i feel you and #2 welcome to my Wednesdays. so here are the happiest things i could find in the midst of my mid-week slump, i hope you get even the littlest of smiles out of them!

let me start off with this first one because

#1 it’s okay to take a nap: or a break (or a nap.) trust me i give myself a hard time when i actually do things for myself and not for the demands of the world around me. but sometimes realizing that the world WILL go on even after i turn my paper in or i’m probably not going to fail high school if i don’t stay up 5 more minutes to study can be the hardest realizations. so go to bed if you’ve been working your booty off all night. or if you’re in the middle of school and realize you just straight up can’t do it anymore. naps are permitted only if tutus are worn. (napping in style is the only way to nap)

#2 spring is coming: and i can almost hear the floral prints and white shorts begging to be worn. To my fellow Omaha friends, don’t check the weather app. just keep in mind that a sunny state of mind may be in need these next few weeks. a girl can dream. (or pout because of snow, whatever works really) until now J. Crew’s spring line is out and window shopping has become my new favorite obsession hobby. (or online shopping. stupid snow.)

#3 donut cakes are a thing… so shoutout to anyone planning my birthday celebrations 4 months in advance (ha..not me..ha.) i wouldn’t mind a cake topped with donuts. or anything topped with donuts if we’re being honest.

#4 breakfast and flowers: okay if this picture doesn’t make you happy i suggest you make yourself some coffee and a croissant and buy yourself some flowers and then come back to me.

#6 besties: thank goodness. God bless. and viva la besties. if these pics can’t save your wednesday sanity, hopefully your bff can.

well as for me it’s 8 pm and bedtime sounds absolutely fabulous. wednesdays.

Hello Friends! Sorry for the total absence this week I’ve been drowning in speech and dance this week (not complaining though, dance is too fun and our speech team just got 4th at a huge tournament yesterday! Whoo!) BUT I’m finally back in action and ready to share something super cool with you all.

Sooo it’s no secret I’m instagram obsessed. those little squares are the story of my life. and i have a few apps i like to mess around and edit photos with before uploading them to instagram but i’ve found one that’s a hidden gem. My usual go to is called “A Beautiful Mess” and is $0.99 but TOTALLY worth the purchase with tons of fonts and cute emojis to add to your picture. THE OTHER APP is one i’ve always heard other bloggers rave about and one most people have called “VSCO” but little did i know how neato this app actually is. this thing is literally a mini instagram but In a super relaxed way and i’m utterly obsessed with it!!! in the past i was just using its editing features but little did i know until i did some exploring that you could make your own account?!?!?! (i.love.this.app.) 

once you make an account you can upload the pictures you edit to what i like to think of as a mini photo journal. just press “share to your grid” and you’re set!

i just started working on mine today but it’s the perfect way to document your adventures and favorite pictures all in one place without having to scroll through your camera roll! also you can view other people’s accounts but you can’t like their pictures or anything like that, so it is a totally stress free picture no judging zone. (i repeat, LOVE.)
