Blair and Serena spotted being as stylish as ever this October. Oh sorry I mean it is just me and my pal Anya in blazers and plaid.

We had twin day for spirit week and I couldn’t even fathom a better couple for Anya and I than the infamous and oh so sassy Blair and Serena. It was seriously so much fun acting like I grew up in a prep school for a day and wearing my curls and bow headband seriously put me on top of the world. May I also add that wearing red tights boosts your confidence about 10 points.

The costumes were SO easy to pull together and we had most everything in our closets. I had to run to Target and grab those tights but I will confirm that is the best $8 I’ve ever spent. Seriously, if you’re looking to strut your inner Upper East sider this Halloween, grab your cutest blouse, make sure your headband is to the right, and throw on some colored tights and grab your go-to gal pal to do the same!

it is national writing day and my inner nerd is having a dance party right now let me tell ya.

I cannot express my love for words. there is something about being able to physically see your emotions in words that makes my heart ever so happy. whether it be my fond love of handwritten notes and cards, my short novels via instagram captions, or my favorite blog posts, writing has spoken to me in ways i (ironically) can’t put into words. i have found myself through writing and ill never be the same. I have gained immense amounts of confidence by being able to write things rather than say them out loud. words spill onto my keyboard so easily after a long day and it is the best adrenaline rush to vomit out my favorite words like “love” “ruffles” “sparkle” “coffee” “happiness” and “passion” onto paper. that’s what the quote above says and i fully preach that message. if writing is something you love with a passion and it makes your heart happy…write. write to-do lists, write the names of people who make you smile, write things you’re thankful for, write wish lists, write goals for yourself, heck, write goals for the world. share your story.

share your story and write it down. everyone’s life is worth reading. not all chapters have to be read out loud, but everyone has a right to words, and everyone should feel overjoyed by expressing themselves. so get out there, do you, love yourself and others, and write it down. hey there peeps! welcome to the middle of October?!?!?! seriously fall needs to slow the heck down so we all have time to smell the pumpkin flavored everything and take time to jump in a few leaf piles! this is a quick little update on my daily life post but i have so many fun fashion things coming your way here soon!

fall as always is my FAVORITE season because of the fashion and my heart has been oh so happy with all of the ADORABLE trends out lately. my wallet? not so much. oops! a girl has got to do what a girl has got to do let me tell you and in 99% of those cases it means buying you 4th pair of fall booties (so so so guilty.)

here is what I have been up to lately this fall!

surprise surprise I’m in my leather sneaks. if you follow my instagram (@xoxoallisonnicole) you may know I’m a tad obsessed with getting some shoe snaps with these puppies but i mean who wouldn’t?!!?! i’m seriously in love with them and the fact that they go with just about everything and make literally every outfit a tad spunkier!

here is this not even slightly un-typical mirror snap while shopping. shopping alone is seriously therapeutic for me (shopping with my mom and her credit card is a close second.) The GAP has seriously had the CUTEST styles out recently and i picked up a few basic sweaters less than $20 a piece???? YES PLEASE? GAP is 100% underrated in my book and is my go to for fall and every season staple pieces that are to die for!

lastly this is Rachel. the love of my life and my little junior mini me ( besides the fact she’s hecka insanely smart and beats me in that category .) we do speech together and my love for this nugget grows every day watching her develop as a person and as a friend. she’s the sweetest and i wouldn’t want anyone else to do mom-like things like whole foods shop with anyone else! oh and did i mention her style is A+ to say the least. love you to the moon and back little Rach!
