big dreamer

big dreams and goals are kinda my ish. but why the heck wouldn’t they be when the sky is the limit and shooting for the stars is something anyone can do? I get reality checked almost every day on whether my big dreams (become a famous fashion blogger, live in NYC for a period of time, have my own fashion line or boutique, even become a fun mom one day) are realistic. although they may be far-fetched and take a lot of work to get there…i don’t understand why i wouldn’t dare to dream and try.

people who think their goals are too big to be obtained: your dream stops there. you’re given a trillion and one chances in life to make something of yourself and your life and you have the opportunity to use each and every one of those trillion chances, or to sit back and watch other’s dreams come true. so work hard. fight for what you believe in. raise your hand in class. ask questions, ask SO many questions. have the desire to learn anything about everything. dream bigger than you could have ever fathomed and then take a step back and say nope even that isn’t big enough.

so keep your dreams big and then make them even bigger. you can do absolutely anything you set your mind to kid. happy happy Monday and keep those motivational vibes a-comin’

homecoming recap

senior year is full of lasts and homecoming is one of the many. i’m sure i’ve mentioned before how I attend an all girls school and because we don’t have a football theme we opt for a “gnimocemoh” which is a much more causal themed dance. however that’s in late October so the all boys school in my area has the formal homecoming. I danced at their football game last Friday night which is always a blast to have the girls from our school come out and cheer! We did a throwback routine and it was for sure a hitDSC_0517!

Then Saturday rolled around and it was time for the actual dance. I ended up doing 4 different hairstyles on 4 different girls and they came over for their getting ready process and it was seriously a blast. we jammed to everything from Potential Breakup Song from Aly&AJ to Shawn Mendes’s new song “Stitches” (which is SO good, 10/10 would reccomend) and they all ended up looking very very gorgeous. A few seriously ROCKED the high pony look, i even cornrowed a girl’s side of her hair!

My dress was from the Lilly Sale earlier this spring and I am in love with the navy and green. It wasn’t too springy but wasn’t straight black or brown with a super fall vibe. I even adorned one of my fav accessories, flash tats, and got so many compliments.

ivy league

my oldie but goodie friend Elle and I traveled downtown after school Friday for a quick little blog pic and sushi sesh and it was seriously so much fun. 10/10 would recommend random adventures and dressing up on the daily. after receiving my ACT score I took a little trip and bought everything that made my heart happy (aka many tshirt dresses and big warm scarves and everything that reminds me of fall). here are a few of the snaps elle and I took: I am ADORING this felt hat and my leather sneaks lately. i feel so sassy in them and paired with my new tshirt dress and marble necklace….i could basically take on the world. oh and did I mention that dress has pockets…? yeah i didn’t think it could get any better either.
